1. Formation of Soil: Soil is formed from the disintegration of rocks.

2. Sources of Plant Nutrients: Rocks are sources of plant nutrients in the soil. For instance, Mica releases Potassium in the soil, and Calcium and Iron are also part of plant nutrients.
