What is Excretion?
Excretion is the removal of waste products of metabolismMetabolism is the sum of the chemical reactions that take place within each cell of a living organism and that provide energy for vital processes and for synthesizing new organic material.... More from the body of an organism. These waste products include nitrogenous compounds such as ammonia, excess salts, carbon dioxide and water.
These waste products are of no use to the body and if allowed to accumulate may become poisonous to the cells.
The excretory systems include malpighian tubules, kidneys, skin, lenticels and stomata in plants.
