Refraction of Light
By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
- Define refraction
- Differentiate between incident and refracted rays and angles
- State the laws of refraction
- State Snell’s law of refraction
- Find refractive index in terms of (i) real depth and apparent depth (ii) critical angle
- Define total internal reflection of light and its application in (i) optical fibre (ii) periscope
- Explain refraction through triangular prism
- Define minimum deviation and refractive index of triangular prism
