Topic Content:
- Creating a Word Document
Creating a word document means typing or entering text in the Work area using the keyboard and then saving the document.
Typing is done using the keyboard. First, position the insertion point, often called cursor, where you want the characters (letters, punctuation marks, numbers and symbols) to appear with the mouse (I-beam) pointer.
The arrow keys on the keyboard move the cursor to the insertion point on the document. Press ENTER to start a new paragraph.
Microsoft Word automatically wraps text, that is, when a line of text reaches the right margin, Word automatically starts a new line, ensuring the text stays within the defined page boundaries. This is called word wrap.
