  • Closing a Document File

Closing a file removes it from the screen; the changes you made, including the document itself, are still stored in memory if you haven’t saved them. To recover unsaved changes, you can use Word’s “Recover Unsaved Documents” feature. 

  1. Click on the Microsoft Office button
  2. Click on Close in the menu.
