Consumer protection agencies are government agencies set up to protect consumers from unfair business practices and promote fair trade.

Consumer protection agencies include;

  1. Consumer Protection Council (CPC)
  2. Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)
  3. Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON)
  4. Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)
  5. National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC)
