The Nigeria Communications Commission is the Independent National Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria. The Nigerian Communications Act 2003 was signed into law by the President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR) on the 8th of July 2003.
Functions of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC):
1. The facilitation of investment into the Nigerian market for the provision and supply of communication services, equipment, and facilities.
2. To protect the rights of telecom consumers in Nigeria.
