Consonant /t/ is voiceless while /d/ is voiced.
Examples of words /t/

/t/ is silent between “s” and “e”

Note: when “ed” is “suffixed to any of the letters “p”, “k”, “f”, “sh”, “ch”, “x” and “s”, the “ed” is pronounced “t”.

parked /pa:kt/
mapped /mᴂpt/

Consonant /d/ has the following examples:

/d/ – is silent between “n” and another consonant.
