Factors to be Considered in Planning and Designing Farm Structures and Buildings:

1. There should be adequate water supply for human beings, crops and animals. The site chosen should be located close to a water supply, for example, a river or lake. If this is not the case then a borehole should be constructed.

2. Residential and office buildings should be located far away from livestock buildings to avoid the noise and unpleasant odour from farm animals’ wastes and dung.
