Definition of Culture
Culture is the total way of life of a group of people in a particular community or society. It includes the people’s beliefs, language, way of dressing, religion, the food they eat, arts and crafts, technology, greetings, dancing, music, etc.
Culture varies from place to place, for example, every tribe or community in Nigeria has its own distinct culture. A society or community can be easily recognized by its culture. For example, the Yoruba Culture is different from that of the Igbos’ and the Hausas’ in terms of so many factors such as food, language, dressing, and more. This is the same case when it comes to the culture of the Igbos and the Hausas.
Culture is dynamic and not static, it changes as the society changes. For instance, Western Culture has been infused into the African Culture.
