What is an Electrical Workshop?
An electrical workshop means a workshop engaged in the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and apparatus used for the generation, storage, measurement and transmission of electric power.
Tasks such as welding, wiring, switchboard assembly etc. take place here.
Below are some safety rules to be followed in an electrical workshop;
- Wear safety overalls and avoid loose dresses.
- Use hand gloves.
- Put on safety boots with hard rubber soles.
- Report any electrical fault to the master.
- Ensure appropriate electrical installations.
- Store power tools in the dry toolbox.
- Do not stand on damp floor barefooted.
- Switch off the power after use.
