Words Associated with Christian Religion:

Read the following passage carefully and note the words in bold.

Deborah woke up very early on this special day. The sacrament of confirmation was to take place in her parish and she was one of the candidates. She felt this same type of excitement last year when her sister, Elizabeth was preparing for her first Holy Communion. Just yesterday, she was in church with the other candidates for a rehearsal with the priest and the catechist. She also practised how she would walk piously down the aisle. The priest put on his surplice and pretended to be the Archbishop who would be the chief celebrant at the Mass. The nuns or Reverend Sisters had decorated the altar. They also polished the pulpit. The pews had also received special cleaning.

Deborah had no doubt at all that the choir would put up a brilliant performance that would lift the spirits of both the clergy and laity.
