In our previous lesson, we noted that consonant clusters occur when two or more consonant sounds occur together in a word. We also noted that consonant clusters can occur in the initial position, in the medial position, or in the final position.
Examples are play /pleɪ/; reply /rɪplaɪ/; ripple /rɪpl/.
