Here are some disadvantages of not observing personal cleanliness (or consequences of poor hygiene);
(i) Disease-causing microorganismsMicrobes are organisms that are too small to be seen without using a microscope. They include organisms like bacteria, archaea, and single-cell eukaryotes (organisms whose cells have a nucleus e.g. amoeba... More may enter our body and cause disease.
(ii) It leads to body odour and bad breath.
(iii) It leads to dental diseases.
(iv) We spend money on drugs when we are sick.
(v) When we are sick, we cannot go to school or to work.
(vi) Poor hygiene makes us and our surroundings look untidy.
