Discus is a throwing field event in which an athlete throws a disc, called discus, in an attempt to make a distance farther than his competitors.
A discus thrower requires muscular strength, muscular power and agility in other to make a good and valid throw.

The discus is circular in shape with either a wooden or mental edge.
