Performance-related components affect an individual’s athletic performance.
Under, performance or skill components, we have the following:
1. Agility:
Agility is the ability to change the direction of the body quickly without significant loss of speed, balance or body control.

2. Balance:
Balance is the ability to maintain equilibrium, and to keep an upright posture when standing (static) or moving (dynamic).
3. Speed:
Speed is the ability to move quickly, perform a movement or cover a distance in a short period of time.
4. Power:
Power is the ability to exert muscular strength. The ability to use strength quickly. It is the rate of performing work.
5. Coordination:
Coordination is the ability to move smoothly and efficiently, moving the body together.
6. Quick Reaction Time:
Quick reaction time is the ability to respond rapidly to a stimulus e.g. catching a shot in soccer or handball, or dodging in basketball. It is the amount of time it takes to move once there is a need to do so.
7. Accuracy:
Accuracy is the ability to perform movements and skills with precision. It is the ability of the individual to control the movement of an object to a small target area accurately e.g. throwing and catching in Basketball, shooting in handball, and passing in football.
