Below are safety precautions that should be taken during exercise:

1. Adequate warm-up exercise.

2. Starting activities from known to unknown.

3. Obeying instructions and rules.

4. Removing Sharp objects from the playing arena.

5. The playing field or court should not be wet or slippery.

6. Faulty equipment and facilities should not be used.

7. Participants should have medical clearance of fitness.

8. Turns should be taken to avoid overcrowding.

9. Activity should stop once the participant is tired.

10. Proper supervision by the coach, teacher or instructor.

11. Knowledge of the skills is important.

12. There should be an increased sense of responsibility amongst the participants.
