- The Significance of Paul’s Trial Before The Roman Governors
As Christians when we read the Bible we should not only enjoy the stories thinking these are things that happened in the olden days. Every story in the Bible has lessons to teach that we can apply in our own present (modern) lives. These are some of the most significant lessons we can learn from Paul’s trial before the Roman Governors, and they are;
1. We should not be afraid to defend ourselves as Christians no matter how powerful the person we need to defend ourselves to is. This also means that we should be aware of our basic fundamental human rights which are privileges we are entitled to as citizens without discrimination. e.g. Fundamental rights to freedom of speech/expression. As long as we do not break any laws or purposefully hurt someone else, then we should be able to defend our actions with full confidence and enforce our fundamental human rights as citizens in any court of law.
