What is Interdenominational?
Interdenominational refers to more than one religious denomination coming together as one for a shared purpose.
A denomination is a recognized independent branch of the Christian Church. Examples of Denominations of the Christian Church are Catholic, Anglicanism, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal and so on.
The Division of the Christian Church:
In the beginning of Christianity, there was only one Church and this was the Catholic (Universal) Church. During the 16th Century, a religious revolution took place in the Western Church. This revolution was known as the “Protestant Resolution” and the result of this revolution was a division within the Christian Church. The Church was broken into two major groups: Protestantism and Catholicism.
