Duties of a Family

Father:

1. The father is the head and the breadwinner of the family. He provides the basic necessities of life like food, clothing and shelter.

2. He ensures the comfort of the family with regard to his earnings.

3. He is the chief security officer in his family and makes sure that the entire family is protected from Internal and societal danger. 

4. He makes important decisions.

5. He provides psychological and material support for his family.

6. He maintains discipline in the family.

 7. He provides love and care to his wife and children.

8. He provides moral guidance for the children.

9. He provides quality education for the children.

Mother:

1. She prepares and cooks food for the family.

2. She arranges and makes sure the house/ home is in order.

3. She nurtures and raises the children.

4. She teaches the children morals and values.

5. She assists the husband financially when necessary.

6. She ensures peace in the family.

7. She makes minor decisions.

8. She instills discipline as well.

9. She guides the children and loves the children and her husband.

10. She ensures proper hygiene in the home.

11. She monitors and supervises the children’s homework.

Children:

1. Children assist in house chores — in the kitchen, garden and laundry.

2. Obey their parents and other adults.

3. Children should be good representatives or ambassadors of the family to the outside world by protecting the good name of the family.

4. They should live up to the family standards and expectations, keeping the family name alive in honour.

5. They should be able to get good grades in school.

6. They should be able to maintain the good tradition of the family.

7. Running errands for parents and other members of the family.
