1. All competitors must take off from one foot ( single take off) — pole vault.
2. A competitor is allowed three trials — long jump.
3. A competitor is out of the competition if he dismantles the crossbar three consecutive times at a particular height — pole vault.
4. Throwing a baton instead of passing is not allowed.
5. A propped baton must be picked only by the athlete who dropped it.
6. The foot must not exceed the take-off board, and must land inside the pit or else it will be an invalid jump.
7. Athletes are disqualified in relay races if they commit an offence like pushing or assisting during take-off.
