Scoring:

Athletes score points in each event for their performance on the basis of the scoring table issued by the International Association of Athletic Federation ( IAAF). 

The number of medals won is calculated in the order of importance as gold, silver and bronze.

Performance is judged on a point system in each event and not by position attained.

The combined performance in all events determines the winner i.e the athlete with the highest number of points wins the competition.
