Branches of Government:
The branches of government include:
(i) Public Administration (Study of processes or methods of managing a state).
(ii) International Relations (Relationships among nations as well as the socio-political and economic environment surrounding such relationships).
(iii) Political Theories/Thought (Study of generalizations and conclusions drawn from political data by political thinkers of origin, nature, characteristics, and objectives of human organization).
(iv) Comparative Government (Study of different governments and analysis of their differences and similarities).
(v) Political Economy (Study of fiscal and monetary policyCentral banks use monetary policy to manage economic fluctuations and achieve price stability, which means that inflation is low and stable. More of countries).
Why do we study Government?
(i) To underestimate our political environment and the wider world political environment.
(ii) To know different political institutions and organs that exist in a state, their powers, functions and relationships.
(iii) To increase one’s political awareness and enlightenment for effective political participation.
(iv) To know our fundamental human rights, privileges and duties as citizens.
(v) To inculcate consciousness of nationalism and patriotism in the students.
(vi) To learn from the mistakes of the past political leaders. To solve political problems.
(vii) To stimulate and arouse the interest and curiosity of students in the activities of government.
(viii) To appreciate the problems of our neighbours, to help countries relate better.
(ix) To help students assess political events and react to them.
(x) To equip those interested in politics to be better politicians.
