What is an Alloy?
An alloy is a metal that consists of two or more metals mixed together.
Brass and Bronze are two of the most useful alloys around us.
What are Ferrous Alloys?
Ferrous alloys are metals that consist mostly of iron (Fe). They are formed by mixing two or more ferrous metals.
Examples of ferrous alloys include carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, tool steel, cast iron, etc.
What are Non-ferrous Alloys?
Non-ferrous alloys are metals without any iron content. They are formed by mixing two or more non-ferrous metals.
Examples of non-ferrous alloys include nichrome, solder, brass, bronze, etc.
