The Party did not spread beyond Lagos. The members were Yorubas. The Party made use of the highly organized market women to carry out their activities.
Achievements of NNDP:
1. Electoral Victory: The party won all the seats allocated to Lagos in the legislativeThe legislative branch of government is responsible for making laws within a country. Legislatures are made up of people called legislators who, in democracies, are elected by the country’s population More council in the elections of 1923, 1928 and 1933. It also won the elections into the Lagos town council during the same period.
2. It fostered political education in the country, most especially in Lagos.
3. Its activities led to further constitutional reforms in Nigeria.
