National Republican Convention (NRC) was one of the two political parties founded by the administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida in 1989 to contest political posts.
Aim and Objectives of NRC:
- To create a free-enterprise economy where every Nigerian will be given the opportunity to own any business of their choice.
- To create opportunities for a political economy based on the highly competitive market.
- To attain political power through democratic and constitutional means for the purpose of creating socio-economic conditions in which the productive energies of individual citizens and corporate groups are enhanced and utilized for national development.
- To promote greater participatory democracy and political participation
